The 3-Year vs. 4-Year UG Dilemma

As the first full cohort under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 reaches graduation this year, many students are at a crossroads: The Choice: Students can graduate now with a 3-year degree or stay for a 4th year to earn an "Honours with Research" degree. Impact: Approximately 15–25% of students in autonomous colleges are currently opting for the 4th year. Benefit: Completing the 4-year track allows you to save time by entering directly into a PhD program or a 1-year Master's program, skipping the traditional 2-year PG route.
